These are satellite pictures of the Gulf of Mexico on April 25, 2010 and June 26, 2010. The amount of oil that has leaked into the Gulf at this point is unbelievable. Oil has been leaking for over 2 months and there doesn't seem to be a solution yet on how to stop it. You can view more images of the oil leak at the NASA website listed below.

ReplyDeleteI was literally devastated when i found out (a while ago) that there was oil like spilling from a pipe beneath the ocean floor n up, ruining homes n plants of sea animals/creatures. I saw so many videos of vollenteering people helping out n cleaning up the animals that were covered in oil n cleaning some out of the water. Like honestly, we need to find an alternate substance to oil, because it ruins n even kills animals. Also, I saw a vid of some fishermen, who go out every day to fish up fish for sea food restaurants, n wen the oil spill happened, it was so hard for them to get back to shore from the water because of the harsh fumes that rose up from the oil. It was so harsh n bad smelling that they started fainting n it was hard for them to contact someone. Also, a lot of them were poisened and had to go to the hospital directly after word.So, this isn't gonna stop, until we do something, n i really wanna help but i don't know how.
