It takes Neptune 164 years to go around the Sun one time - its revolution period. It is over 4,498 million kilometers from the Sun. The distance of a planet to the Sun will dictate how long it takes for that planet to go around it. How long does it take for the Earth to revolve around the Sun? It is approximately 150 million kilometers from the Sun.
schnap thts craazy!!! and it is really cool too. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool!

It takes 164 yrs to orbit aroung the sun just once! We could never even be 1 yr old on Neptune! Thats crazy and cool at the same time!
ReplyDeleteThe article says that it WILL REACH THE END OF ITS ORBIT IN 2011...so it hasn't reached its first orbit YET, right? Since it says it will make its first orbit since its discovery, the article says it will reach its revoultion on Aug.20, 2011.
